In a European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) collaborative project between coastal local action groups including “Jūras Zeme” and “Laukiem un Jūrai”, an objective to implement a guideline for Latvian coastal region was reached.
Project “Development of a Seaweed Sediment Assessment and Management Plan by the Latvian Coast” was made to help entrepreneurs, municipalities and nature conservation agency manage seaweed sediment collection in a manner that sustains natural resources and also supports entrepreneurial interests.
Local Action group “Jūras Zeme” hopes that the developed plan will help all the involved parties to make informative and correct decisions.
Total cost of project: 50 000 EUR, project is financed by European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF)
