Society “Jūras Zeme” is a Local Action Group, which associates local inhabitants, entrepreneurs, and partnerships to reach new goals in the region.
“Jūras Zeme” conducts activity in the counties of Ādaži (Coastal part) and Saulkrasti (Coastal part).
The society “Jūras Zeme” is established to enhance and support local residents to participate in the development of rural regions and fishery activities, to design and implement strategies for sustainability, to associate public and private partners and other institutions in Latvia, and to pursue its crucial goal of improving the quality of life in rural areas and nurture regional development and cooperation with other Local Action Groups and other actors of LEADER group.
“Jūras Zeme” operates as a Local Action Group, that implements Local Development Strategy in the counties of Carnikava and Saulkrasti, it has developed a structure for decision-making to reach the goals of the strategy, which is accomplished by a council and a member meeting, which is a separate fraction from day-to-day management board.
